Hello everyone thank you for visiting me here, my name is Larry Azevedo I was born
in Dos Palos California in 1967, grew up in a single parent household my mother
raised me and my two brothers, she's a hard-working business woman, She bought
and sold animals at local auctions to make a living and put us through school we
worked alongside her before and after school I also trained Brown Swiss cattle
and other animals to show at the local fairs as a member of 4-H and FFA clubs
earning numerous ribbons and trophies along the way. During my junior high years
I milk cows for my grandparents during the summers, to help pay for my show
animals, then in high school I worked for a local dairyman as a cow milker until
I graduated, After High School I joined the Tomato industry where I worked for
the state grading tomatoes then when the season was over I went to work for the
Dos Palace Co-op gin, Where I started as a Yard Man Towing cotton trailers and
watering down the yard after a few years I worked my way up to head Pressman and
assistant Ginner making and weighing cotton bales for farmers, so I stayed busy
most of the year seeking to further my education, I went off to Tucson Arizona
where I earned my associate's degree and became a auto- diesel technician
returning to my hometown. I started my own business by fixing up the old barn
where I used to raise animals on my mom's property and turned it into an auto/
truck repair shop, one day I stumbled upon some old fertilizer trucks for sale
by a local contractor, my family and I bought them through hard work and
dedication are business began to grow one truck after another after a few years
my brothers took over the Trucking Company and mom and I began investing in real
estate projects. Through this experience I got to work along side a diverse
group of leaders from Mayors and city manager's to local Business leaders of
the community working together for more than 25 years on projects around the
city's and counties, throughout the San Joaquin Valley it was during this time
that I met my beautiful wife Cindy we have been married for 16 Wonderful years.
Working together with local leaders around our communities taught me that
politics play's a role in all our lives, from where we live and work to where we
shop for goods and services, and this is what sparked my interest in politics, so
here we are.
